= = &nb= sp; = UFOs in San Diego by Mike Orrell

&nb= sp; It was the promise of another excit= ing adventure in the backwoods of my beloved San Diego that prompted me to gath= er two hiking buddies, as well as my Canon camera, and head East on that sunny= day back in July of 1990. My love= of photography and nature were a perfect pairing and would provide original material for my art major in college.

Since my high school d= ays in the Seventies at Helix in La Mesa, where I first learned how to develop bla= ck and white film, I had always dreamed of setting up my own darkroom and producing sellable photography. Eventually, in 1989 I would purchase an Omega C760 Color enlarger and turn my bedroom in Pacific Beach into a darkroom where, for a while, I live= d my dream. One of my enlargements= of a sunset in Ramona was even selected in a prestigious photographic competition and was exhibited between August and September of 1990 at the popular downt= own tourist attraction known as Horton Plaza.&= nbsp; Currently my photography and artwork are featured at a popular International Galleria in Ocean Beach called, “Rock, Paper, Scissors”. I’m still waiting to make a profit but it’s nice to have your foot in the door of your dream.

= Kodak would eventually change their chemicals that I used for my drum processing and I was forced to evolve to digital photography. I have never regretted that decision. The ability to delete unwanted pictures and then download my favorites onto my computer to be enhanced, edited and printed i= s a whole lot easier than my old darkroom procedures.

= On that fateful day back in July of 1990, I was looking forward to discovering new trails and scenic vistas to capture on my new 35mm Canon EOS 650, and I got my wish. As we= were heading towards Julian, after stopping for my favorite date nut bars at the popular Dudley’s Bakery in Santa Ysabel, = we discovered just up the street from Dudley’s a beautiful State Park wh= ose entrance we nearly missed it was so obscure. “Inaja Memorial Park”,= which was dedicated to 11 firefighters who had lost their lives there fighting a = fire in 1956, was a real treat to behold. It had numerous day camping spots with barbecue pits and a well constructed bathroom that sat alongside a scenic loop trail that promised to offer numerous photo opportunities.

It was my friend Robert who first p= ointed out to my girlfriend and me, the Memorial Marker next to the parking lot. As I read the inscription on the b= ronzed plaque I was astonished to learn that the day of the fire that killed the b= rave firefighters, was one day before I was born here in San Diego. We joked about this at the time bu= t in the back of my mind I was thinking this was an omen of some sort which hopefully will be explainable later.

Because of my forced indoctrination= into metaphysics at a young age, I am a believer in reincarnation which is the belief that we live numerous earthly lives until we’ve learned our spiritual lessons and earn a promotion to the next level of consciousness.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Now considering that these brave m= en back in 1956 “crossed over” a day before I “crossed into” this environment, there was the remote possibility that I was t= he reincarnation of one of the deceased firefighters whose name was on that historical plaque. Chances ar= e that this is not the case however, as it has been reported that years go by sometimes in-between lives as groups of earthly bound entities will re-enter together often changing roles depending on their spiritual needs. In hindsi= ght, considering what was about to happen later on down the trail and the coincidence that date of the fire on the memorial marker was so close to my= own birthday, it was a clear sign to me that an important event was about to oc= cur and that I needed to pay attention.

As we walked along the loop trail all three of us were impressed by = the natural beauty of the plant life and rock formations. The park rested high = on top of a hill surrounded by two valleys one of which carried the San Diego River to the Pacific Ocean. A= fter a short pause for some photos on a gorgeous granite rock outcropping, we continued briskly along the winding trail as the sun was setting fast to the west and we had no idea how long the trail was.

= Rounding the corner of a rocky outcrop, we had arrived at scenic spot number Seven and were shocked to see a majestic view of a wide open canyon = with colorful hillsides disappearing in the distance. A misty blue haze, created by the setting sun, covered the entire valley as the San Diego River stretched laz= ily below us for eighteen miles weaving its way to the Pacific Ocean.

= A viewing platform had been created there which served as a perfect lookout point where an iron periscope device had been constructed to view t= he different scenic mountains in the distance. Attached to the periscope device was a metal pointer on the bottom that would swivel as the viewer turned it= and it would indicate what mountain you were looking at. After we briefly explored the devi= ce, I set my camera carefully down on the rock and cement wall and framed my composition. With the zoom lens fully extended and the camera on auto, I sl= owly squeezed off a single photo in-between breathes. This popular technique assures the= best in-focus shot and was about to pay off in a large way.

Without waiting to take another pho= to, which a good photographer would have done, we continued our trek on the loop trail and barely made it back to the parking lot before dark. On the ride home we discussed how = much fun we had and how beautiful that Park and its lookout point was. None of us knew at the time just h= ow lucky we were.

Two weeks later I’m thumbing through the pictures of the July = 1st trip after being developed by Thrifty’s and when I first saw the lookout pictu= re I was thrilled to see again that blue haze lingering over the expansive valle= y, then I saw them. In the= upper left hand corner of the photo, were a pattern of nine dots that I certainly didn’t see when I took the picture.&= nbsp; Thinking it was a negative developing error I searched for the same = pattern on any of the other photos with no success. It was after looking at this forma= tion of dots through my magnifying loop as they hovered over a distant hilltop on the east side of the valley, = that I noticed some of the objects seemed to be reflecting the sun and were clearly triangular in shape. Most ama= zing was that three of the objects on the extreme left of the photo had formed i= nto a triangular formation and were pointing west towards the setting sun. Some= of the objects also appeared to be facing up as well as down.

In the past I had taken countless pictures of birds and planes in flight and there were no obvious signs of wings or appendages on any of these objects and they certainly appeared to be similar in density and spacing. That just doesn’t happen with birds in flight. The formation itself seemed to be stretching towards the w= est as well, so I decided to investigate the right side of the valley with my l= oop and sure enough there appeared to be a single object hovering over a hill on the right side of the photo. = From what I could see in the small 4x6 print, the single craft matched the densi= ty and shape of the objects in the formation.

Before long I had slip= ped the negative into my photo enlarger and blew the objects up as much as I co= uld. The results had me more convinced than ever that these objects were not bir= ds or military craft of any kind.

= At some point I began to suspect that I had actually done the imposs= ible and captured, accidentally in a single photograph, numerous UFOs hovering in clear daylight over the San Diego River Valley. I searched in vain for any other p= hoto in that session that captured that same valley in it without success. Eight= een years later I still can’t believe that I didn’t take another ph= oto at the lookout spot that day. I imagine the safety of my companions was a priority at the time since there = are mountain lions in the area. And yet I just want to scream, “What If”. =

= A day or two later I showed a photographer friend of mine the Inaja photo and pointed out the formation of objects in the upper left corner. He calmly declared after a brief inspection, that the objects were nothing more than “flying ducksR= 21;. I forgave him his casual dismissal= of this important discovery especially since none of my personal friends has b= een exposed to the same rich metaphysical material that I have, so their belief systems are not equipped to comprehend such possibilities. Besides, these controversial subjects were not part of my parents or my own school curricu= lum growing up and I don’t expect immediate acceptance of my theories.

It was the writings of= T. Lobsang Rampa, Jane Robert’s and Carlos Castaneda, that formed a solid foundation of unkn= own truths and confirmed for me the existence of a “separate reality”. One book by t= he Tibetan monk Rampa, that was titled “Cave= of the Ancients” and later changed to “The Hermit”, gave the most astounding description of an alien conference in outer space.

= I decided after hearing my friends duck theory, to go all the way ba= ck to Inaja Park by myself and attempt to photograph birds and planes in the s= ame exact spot the UFOs were that day on July 1^st. I was not disappointed as numerous flocks of birds and planes made their appearance. As I turned to leave scen= ic spot Seven, I suddenly noticed a nearby boulder was shaped exactly like an aliens head, no kidding, pointed ear and all. I took several photos of this smir= king alien rock and headed home never suspecting that he would one day be featur= ed in numerous newspaper articles and TV features.

= This was not the only rock face I have discovered in my photographic journeys. The most spectacula= r one is on El Capitan Mountain in Lakeside and the other rock face is in La Jolla cove. All of them would event= ually make the news but it was the huge mile diameter face on El Capitan that wou= ld be linked to the Inaja UFO Photo. At scenic spot Seven, if you were to set the periscope device indica= tor on “El Cajon Mountain”, also known as El Capitan, you would be looking at the exact location where the single UFO was captured hovering ov= er the backside of this mysterious mountain.

= About this same time I see on television that UFO abductee, Betty Hill, had the audacity to ask an alien about a star map while aboard = ship and was informed that the broken lines to different planets represented expeditionary routes and the solid lines linking numerous planets together = were trading routes. Earth, she was told, was represented by a broken line.&nb= sp; So both the Lobsang and Hill stories con= firmed each other and in the process convinced me decades ago that not only do ali= ens exist but that mankind needs to step up to the intergalactic trading table = and convert that broken line to our planet into a solid one.

The most important writer in metaph= ysics in my opinion was Poet and channeler Jane Rober= ts, who after going into a trance-like state, much like Edgar Cayce, would allow the personality known = as “Seth” to dictate to her husband and would describe remarkable events from our past, present and probable future. The source for these revelations w= as apparently a cosmic library known as the” Akashi= c Records”, which Lobsang also wrote about = and was undoubtedly the source for Nostradamus and his famous quatrains. The idea of communicating with the= dead is now commonly accepted by the general public as psychics John Edwards, Ja= mes Van Praagh, Lisa Williams and Sonja Fitzpatrick= have all had T.V. shows demonstrating, with undeniable evidence, that such communication is possible. An= d just how many Police Departments around the country were featured on the T.V. program “Psychic Detectives” solving their toughest cases using spiritually gifted mediums? <= /p>

Seth revealed tha= t UFOs have to change their “camouflage” whenever they enter our carbon system after traveling here from another planetary system, say, based on silicone. Many other shocking revelations about aliens, UFOs and much more followed in the “Seth Material” and cemented in my mind the fact that there really is a separate reality co-existing with our own and it is to our civilizations gr= eat loss that we are mostly blind to its existence. Unfortunately since most of us can’t conceive of such possibilities our combined thoughts are not st= rong enough, yet, to produce the event. Thoughts have substance though, and properly directed can produce physical manifestations which I have personally witnessed countless times i= n my own life.

= After comparing the objects in the July 1^st photo with the latest ones filmed with birds and planes in the background, I was absolutely convinced that the mysterious objects were alien spaceships. I decided to contact a local UFO society with my suspensions. They recommended having the objects professionally blown up to grain which I could not do on my own enlarger. While this was being accomplished = at a popular photo lab downtown, I began taping on my VCR any and all programs a= bout UFOs. I’m still doing it today on my DVD player as UFOs seem to be more popular than ever in 2008 wi= th the History Channels “UFO Files” and recently with “UFO Hunters”.

= One “Unsolved Mysteries” episode in 1990 had an important impact on my evolving theories. The program detailed the “Kecksberg” UFO incident where an acorn shaped craft purposely crash landed decades ago in a Pennsylvanian forest. I notic= ed the car sized model of the acorn shaped UFO, which was designed using eye-witne= ss accounts, was quite similar to the objects in my Inaja photo. After I got my enlargements = back from Giant Photo, I discovered just how similar the two space craft were. It turned out the single craft on = the west side of the valley in my Inaja Photo, was moving right to left to join= the formation on the left bank and as a consequence the crafts left profile was= in perfect focus. Incredibly eno= ugh the left contour of the single craft in my UFO photo exactly matched the ac= orn shaped Kecksberg UFO. I had not only identified the obje= cts in my photo but had confirmed the authenticity of the Kec= ksberg event.

= By now I was a confirmed believer. Absolutely no doubt remained as to the nature of the mysterious dots captured in the distant background of my = July 1^st 1990 scenic photo. Now it was time to get an experts opinion on what these dots might b= e, so I contacted naval photo analyst Bruce Maccabee, thanks to the advice of MUFON, and sent him the photos. His exact words to = me over the phone after analysis were that the objects were “unidentifia= ble and opaque”. I welcomed his professional opinion since I claim amateur status only in my knowledge of photography. Later confirmation would come f= rom Chrome Photo Lab as part of my 2006 CBS interview.

= Maccabee’s opinion back in the ear= ly nineties though, really launched my effort to go public with this gift that= I had been given. I realized th= at some of the evidence I had already gathered was permanently gone from the public eye and future generations would never have the opportunity to conne= ct the dots like I was able too. I had tried to do it anonymously but without success so I’ve had to juggle = the obligations of my personal world with trying to be my own publicity agent.<= /p>

= Now along with my own UFO photo that I sent Bruce, I also included a= UFO photo taken by astronaut James McDivitt that ap= peared on a long since cancelled television show called “Secrets and Mysteries”. It seems no= body had this McDivitt UFO Photo but me. Amazingly enough both UFO photos contained an unusual abnormality in the same position on each craft. Both pictures showed a spike-like projection two thirds up the left side of the craft. It was when I discovered this same projecting triangular pattern on the Nazca dese= rt floor in Peru as well as in hundreds of ancient artifacts and rock painting= s, that I understood the meaning of the prophetic omen engraved on that memori= al marker back at Inaja.

= Numerous front page articles, radio interviews and TV spots have sin= ce documented these historic discoveries.&nbs= p; The Los Angeles Times broke the story in 1991 and labeled the eviden= ce “UNSETTLING”. And= since 1997 my website has featured my Inaja UFO Photo as well as numerous other U= FO photos that all contain the same pattern which miraculously has also been discovered in numerous ancient artifacts, crop circles and even the Nazca Lines in Peru, Chile. A preposterous claim, to be sure, = but the evidence speaks for itself as many thousands of visitors to my non-prof= it website have discovered.

= Some of the theories on my website have never been mentioned in the press, like my discovery that the famous Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan, Mexico is in fact a giant stylized human head. Nowhere on planet earth will you f= ind this revelation, with proof, except on my website.

= There are many humans still waiting for an indisputable sign that we= are not alone. I was one of them = until I stumbled upon this lost sacred pattern. Now I believe 100% that the disco= very of this Rosetta Stone, and it doesn’t matter who found it, along with= a ton of evidence from everyone else, will eventually change the history on o= ur planet and help introduce a new era of communication and revelation as our world becomes the center attraction for visiting traders and investigators = from around this and other universes. For myself, I claim only to be the first witness to this otherworldly event and am quite comfortable with my simple = role as “presenter”. We enjoy a very simple life, my girlfriend and = I, with our two cats. Hiking is = still one of our favorite pastimes and although I have never been abducted I̵= 7;m trying hard to prepare my girlfriend for the possibility if we should round another rocky outcrop and come face to face with the “emissaries̶= 1;-metaphysics.

= My website is continuously updated with news releases such as my 2006 CBS interview on KFMB Channel 8 that made history by showing this lost sacr= ed pattern whose re-discovery may play a pivotal role in changing the consciousness of mankind which is the first step to the actualization of the “contact” event. = And recently, Fox 6 News aired a close-up of my “Inaja UFO Formation̶= 1; as evidence that a mass UFO sighting captured on video over San Diego New Y= ears day 2008 were not Chinese flaming lanterns. Once again, just like my Inaja formation, it was nine objects hovering close together that were captured in the New Years Video. Links to= both stories are on my web cover page.

= I was also recently invited by famed Investigative Journalist Paola Harris to speak at her Carlsbad lecture about my UFO photo and its relation= ship to the latest UFO flap in San Diego. While speaking on stage, my girlfriend snapped several photos of Paola and me surrounded by mysterious orbs of lig= ht as my “Inaja UFO Photograph” towered above us projected onto a = screen. = There is a long road ahead for all of us as time may be running out according to the 2012 doomsday prediction of the Mayan calendar as well as visions of a devastating polar shift by Edgar Cayce. Revelations talks about how every = island and mountain will be moved from its place (Rev6, 12-14). Even as I’m writing this sto= ry, a 5.0 earthquake centered on the California and Nevada border, struck and roc= ked our building at 8:32 p.m. It = was the second earthquake San Diego felt today on this February 11, 2008. My girlfriend called me at work pa= nic stricken when the first earthquake hit this morning. I guess I’ll have to interpr= et these earth movements as a clear sign that we need to make contact with extraterrestrials soon.

As I boldly attempt to = gain global exposure for these epic discoveries, which I personally believe prove the reality of aliens and UFOs, I am equally convinced that the alien’= ;s agenda for us is a positive one and that our best interests are at the hear= t of their interactions with us. T= his, at least seems to be the case for most of the alien encounters on record. The time to change our attitude and start behaving like peaceful galactic citizens is now so that “they” will include you and me in mankind’s next great adventure.

Time will tell if aliens rewrite their star maps and include Earth as trading partners. Such = an event may already be in their agenda as countless abductees have reported a race of in-betweens that were created to possibly train the human survivors= of whatever catastrophic fate awaits our planet.

Until that day arrives,= I will continue to keep looking up to the skies for a sign, hoping for the be= st and hiking the beautiful backwoods of San Diego.
